History:
Ambassadors Football Club was set up on the back the Ambassadors in Sport tours program. Established in 2006, the team was accepted into division 4 of the Mid – Ulster football league.
After back to back promotions and a Marshall Cup final appearance the first team now sits proudly in Division 2. Following this recent success, the club decided the time was right to launch a reserve team and we now have two mens teams competing every Saturday.
In addition to this, our Night Owls team will begin it’s third season of Friday night football and our girls team will continue training for throughout the rest of 2009 and the beginning of 2010.
Mission:
To realise the potential of all players and members that belong to our club, through the competitive environment and experience of football, teaching valuable life lessons based on biblical principles. Striving for excellence both on and off the field we aim to develop a dynamic club membership with a Christ like character.
Structure:
Things have been steadily progressing over the past few years and we are delighted that AFC has claimed it’s independence from the AIS Ireland office. At the end of last season the clubs first working committee was established placing more responsibility on the membership and guaranteeing sustainability.
The new club committee will now look to develop the club and increase our influence in the local community.
